About Me

I am a business consultant in various areas.  Each client has different needs.  I have been in business now for almost six years and have met some very interesting contractors.  I love my business of catering my professional expertise to the needs of my clients.  My working motto is: “WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER.”  Wouldn’t want it any other way.  I say “There’s a method for my madness.”

The world of computer and high tech communication has truly been an asset to the new generations.  My consulting business allows me to administer services to people of all walks of life and all over the world, just by using the internet, a phone and a fax.  It’s truly awesome! Networking is the key to success in any business.

When I am not doing my consulting business, I have an array of things that I enjoy.  I love art, blogging, books, design, family, fashion, humor, movies, reading, photography, genealogy, socializing, boating, dance, and overall life.

I am energetic.  Adventurous & spontaneous.  Confident & enthusiastic.  Fun.  Love a good strong challenge.  Lively, passionate & sharp witted.  Outgoing.  Courageous & assertive.  Creative.  Peaceful, good natured & optimistic.  Quite a collage, wouldn’t you say?  I figure it’s a blessing to wake up in the morning and know I’ve been given the opportunity to breathe just one more day.  Life can throw some pretty nasty things at you some times, so you just have to learn to dodge them about 95% of the time with a positive thought.  In the end, it always works out.

Now you know just a tad about me.

Smile, it makes the world wonder what you’re up to.

Brenda

  1. Dear Brenda,

I wonder if you can help me. I see that lots of the contributors to your website (or people whose articles you have posted) have written about Kevin McClory.

I am currently compiling a history of my school – Finchley Catholic High School in North London – and I have come across Kevin and his brother Desmond’s names a number of times in the archives of the school.

What is troubling me is that I cannot reconcile the birth date widely published for Kevin in his obituaries, Wikipedia, etc. of June 1926 with the fact that he appears to have been in the second year of secondary school in Finchley (so aged at least 12) in 1935.

I am wondering if any of your correspondents: (a) would be interested in any of the information contained in these archives re Kevin and Desmond; and (b) could help solve the mystery about Kevin’s age.

Many thanks and I hope to hear from you,

    Damian McBride

  2. Hi Brenda. I noticed that you had a post on your blog from interviews with Toby Bruce, Hemingway’s friend and assistant. I am wondering if you have any contact info for the Bruce estate? I am a freelance permissions researcher trying to clear permission to use a photo from Bruce’s collection in a Hemingway Bio published by W.W. Norton. I’m afraid I have hit a dead end.

    Many thanks,
    Caryn

    • Hi Caryn, and thanks. My partners suggestion would be to try and check with the Key West Library, as they supported that library which was then on the street where they lived. Hope that leads to something other than another dead-end!

  3. Hello Brenda, I found your Ronald Payne interview with John Dos Passos while searching for reviews of the late novels “Chosen Country” and “Midcentury”.

I thought you might enjoy reading my take on “Why I am interested in Dos Passos”, at http://centurysebb.wordpress.com/why/

    best wishes
    Richard

    • Thank you Richard, I found your article most interesting. I will send a copy to Mr. Payne for his review! Best Wishes, Brenda
